  1. John do you and Chenjerai ever disagree about any topic or detail you’ve discussed during this shows series? Is it really a discussion if there is never a debate or is it just an echo chamber?

What should they be debating, Levi? I am interested to hear your thoughts since you’ve labeled the dialogue and echo chamber.

Just want to point out that you have misgendered Lewis Raven Wallace near the beginning of this episode. I love and appreciate this podcast and just don’t want it to go unnoticed in case it can be corrected.
    Thanks!

Came here to say the same thing! I’m glad people are addressing it!

Kumanyika also misgenders Wallace at the end of the episode. It was jarring given how thoughtful he and Biewen are in their usual treatment of their subjects. Surprised not to see any response to the comments here or an acknowledgement of the error.

When did he misgender Lewis? Their pronouns are ‘he’, ‘they’, and ‘ze’, according to their website. I only heard him use ‘he’, which is one of their pronouns.

This week’s NYT Tom Cotton op-ed’s debacle is yet another example of how much this particular episode of this season’s terrific series has immediately shifted my lens -and listening/reading/watching of the media I listen to and read. And now of course I see this misguided/lost opportunity in the name of “objectivity” happening all the time –and am grateful I can now practice noticing and taking action. I have already sent links to this series and especially More Truth to multiple people and news outlets including Maine’s public broadcast station, MPBN (it had described protest from earlier this week as ” protesters against, some say, systemic racism.”) Thank you John & Chenjerai (and for the work of Lewis Raven Wallace in Ep. 11).

  4. Do you have a transcript for this?

    • cdsduke Jun 8, 2020

        Hi,

Any idea when the transcript will be ready?

      • Filipa A Rodrigues Jun 30, 2020

Hi! Is the transcript available at this moment?

        • cdsduke Jul 1, 2020

          Filipa,

I’m working on the last couple of transcripts and hope to have them up as soon as I can, today or tomorrow!
